Season Must Have – The Cape

No tags 0

I’m seeing them everywhere and absolutely loving them – yet still can’t figure out if they are my style and if I would wear one.  I bought an Aztec cardigan from H&M a while ago loved it but hardly wear it as it makes me look chunky and needs ironing after sticking it into a drawer and I’m scared of ironing wool ha!

Anyway I have been perusing online offerings from the popular high street retailers for inspiration and to help me decide whether to not to purchase and here are a few of my favourites.

Oasis – Pop Aztec Cape – £29

Cute design and dark enough to match lots of things and not get scruffy straight away – quite like the tassels but feel it might be a bit cowboy!

River Island – Cream Print Throw Over Cape – £35

Cute but I imagine it the good old British weather it would not be cream for long!

Dorothy Perkins – Navy Folk Design – £25

Cheapest of the selection and I am quite surprised I like this, I usually avoid patterns and anything looking remotely like leaves or flowers are last of my choice but this is really quirky.  I like the short length at the front too.

Topshop – ZigZag Buckle Cape – £38

Lets face it anyone who knows me knows I love a good buckle or an exposed zip lol – This isn’t wool so I would have to see it in real life to see if the effect was there there’s something snug and more wintry about wool! I think with the buckle I wouldn’t have to constantly be wrapping it round or balancing it on my shoulders so that can only be a good thing!

What do you think of the “cape” – will you be wearing the trend through the winter months?  Let me know where you buy yours and where the best designs and cheapest prices are!
